Now ask yourself, how often have you really wanted that chocolate shake but said, “No, I just can’t.” Maybe the biggest problem with a chocolate shake is how big they are. They seem like a meal, all by themselves. Gabrielle’s has the adult size answer to this complicated issue. Fill a beautiful martini glass with their decadent chocolate shake, add a few of your favorite cookies to the plate and enjoy, without (all of) the guilt.
Godiva Chocolate Milk Shake
Makes 6, 8 oz. servings
- 32 oz vanilla ice Cream
- 1 qt Heavy Cream
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 Tps vanilla
- 1/2 cup Godiva liqueur (or other chocolate liquer)
- 1 cup Ovaltine chocolate malt
- chocolate sauce
Blend all ingredients to desired thickness. Add more ice cream to increase thickness, if desired. Whip heavy cream until almost stiff. Add sugar and vanilla to the cream and beat until cream holds stiff peaks. Drizzle the inside of a martini glass with a ring of chocolate sauce, then pour in blended ice cream mixture and top with whipped cream.

Wow. This shake looks great. I assume this would be fine without alcohol, right?
I’m sure it would be great, although I haven’t tried it that way. Maybe those two young girls (your “stepdaughters”) on your blog would like to try the non-alcohol version for us, and give us a review. I’m sure they would give it their best effort.
Haha! I wish they could try it out, but they live in CA, and I live in TX. I wanted to know about a virgin version because I don’t drink alcohol, so I will give you a review ASAP.
